I have read up on SPD and I understand that about 50% of women during pregnancy experience some discomfort. I am currently 29 weeks + 2 days. I literally have pain so bad that I can not walk about 50% of the time. I have a very high tolerance for pain also... It has come to the point that I could not force myself to get out of bed to go to work today. When I told the doctor 2 days ago they said it was normal. But now the pain has increased significantly. I have tried everything I have seen suggested on the internet and nothing helps except to find a comfortable position and not move. Help? lol

I didn't know it had a name!!! It feels like you were riding a boy's bike and fell off onto the bar, right? I had this from about 3 weeks pregnant until I delivered - it made the delivery SOOO worth it! If you are sitting, get a donut pillow to sit on. Sleep on your side with two - yes TWO - pillows between your knees/thighs, and maybe even one between your ankles. My doc was no help - "is normal! is normal!" Yeah, thanks doc, lol!!!

Thank you. I do not have a midwife. Just a doctor. lol. I suppose I'll have to go back into the doctor as I cannot afford to just leave my job due to this.

i suffered with spd during both my pregnancies and it can sometimes be unbareable pain!! you need to talk to your midwife and she should put u in touch with a physio therapist who will give you a list of do's and dont's!! Mine also supplied me with crutches to help me walk and a belt that lifted the weight off my pubiuc bone!! It may be normal to get this pain but it can also cause problems so you should really keep pestering until your doc or midwife does something to help you!! Good luck, if you need more advice on this don't hesitate to ask i know how awful it is!!
