It is true that lubrication really helps while you are still breastfeeding and also doing kegals. This is what helped for me.

However, if this continues you should go visit your doctor again. I know someone who had the same problem with pain and then found out it was a condition that was going to have to be treated with hormone suppliment once her baby was done with the breast. Make sure you take care of yourself.

Everybody's different, some can go only 6 weeks after having a baby and others take much longer. I've talked to women who have had 4th degree tear, and their children are over 2 years old right now, and she says it still hurts sometimes... it just depends.

Ok, I must be the odd ball in the group. I was ready for sex about 2 weeks after I delivered both of my boys. I told my boyfriend and he was a little nervous, but it didn't take much convincing. We just went really slow and easy, but everyone is different.

We had to wait 6 months because of the pain, and it wasn't an issue of dryness, but it felt like I needed to stretch a bit. I bought this program from vaginismus.com and used it about 2 months and honestly it doesn't hurt anymore. And like my husband told me, we're probably having the best sex now that we've ever had. Hope it helps!

I'm exclusively breastfeeding and sex was impossible until around 8weeks after birth. My little girl is now 11weeks and we still have to be carefull!

6 weeks was a little early for me too, 2 weeks more made a good difference for me though. Also just go slow, listen to your body. It needs to heal and that is individual as far as when each person is ready. Tips: use lots of lubricant; hormones can cause dryness, go slow and gently, stop if you can't get comfortable with it shortly, be patient. If it persist longer than you feel you have the patience for, consult with your doctor. Don't forget what your body just went through!!

From experience it was about a month for me, some people are different....once you completely heal everything should be fine.... was it natural? did you get stiches?? all of that come is to play...dont worry if it still hurts it wont be forever.

yeah decreased amounts of estrogen for me means increased amounts of astroglide. :) i took 10 weeks before it didn't hurt. i agree with the going slow part.

Everyones body is different, some people heal faster then others and each child will be different. I have a daugher that is 2 months old and I breastfeed her, I dont have a problem with lubrication but if u r def buy some because the less friction there is the better it will be. Just take it slow it will get better.

If you're breastfeeding, it will make you very dry. Your OBGYN might be able to give you estrogen cream.

If you are breastfeeding, that significantly reduces the amount of lubrication your produce, so that may be a factor. You may want to seriously consider store-bought lubrication, or maybe just ask your partner for a little more foreplay (he waited six weeks, whats the rush?) Aside from that, you just had a baby a month and a half ago, unless you had a c-section, its gonna hurt, don't have sex if it hurts you, its not worth it.

Hopefully this isn't TMI, but we used lots of lube and went extremely slow. We did that for about a month and it hasn't hurt since then.

It was about 2-3 months after a c-section when I was able to have sex. My boobs were still very sensitive though
