ok, moms, i need your advice. my 15 month old has a cold, is teething and her throat may or may not hurt. she, for the past 4-5 days, has refused to eat! i have to pretty much put on a circus act just to get her to eat one cup of whole soy yogurt. and if she is in the mood to eat she will only eat stuff like pudding or yogurt, i have even tried going back to baby food. i was wondering if you guys have gone through this before and if i should really worry or schedule and appt. with her pediatrician? she is still drinking water, but not very much of her bottles. she has three bottles a day and usually drinks about 7-8 ounces of milk. ugh. i'm just so worried!

As long as she does't seem to have fever an she is drinking she probally is fine. When my kids would get like this I would just kinda let them decide what they want. Not something I would do everyday but when they ae sick remember they are just mini versions of us. When we are sick things don't always taste the same to us they really aen't any different. But also if you would feel better go ahead and make an appointment it is for reassurance. I do it with my youngest all the time because she has severe problems with her lungs and gets a lot of infections. Her Dr. has to talk me off the ledge. So o wht you feel is igt. Hope she feels beetr soon.

i hope this is where i reply! thank you Emily! she is drinking a good amount of liquids. she has full diapers all day because we give her a sippy cup full of water every day and she usually finishes one a day. i just needed to hear i guess that it does happen to other kids too and that gracie is not the only one. i just really wish these stupid teeth would just come in already and her cold will go away! well, her cold is almost gone, i think its just mostly her teeth. ugh!!! i don't know!

My son has always been the same way when he is sick. Usually goes on for a day or two, and then he has an insatiable apetite when he finally starts feeling better. I think the biggest thing is to make sure she is not getting dehydrated...how many wet diapers/day? It doesn't hurt to call the ped. just for the reassurance. My kids ped. has a nurse hotline that I can call and have my concerns triaged before deciding whether or not an appointment is needed...good luck, and I hope you little one is feeling better soon.
