I know of a little girl who is five years old and is not potty trained. She comes to school everyday in a soaking wet pull-up, and has to be changed almost immediately upon arrival at school. It has become apparent that the parents of this child do not change her pull-up at home before she leaves. She came into school today with poop in her pull-up and smelled horrible. After the nurse had changed her she came and told us that the feces were very old, dried to her bottom and she couldn't scrap it off of her. Once again, no one changed her before she came to school. Also, she has gotten sent home twice due to the fact she has fleas in her hair. She was searched for fleas and found that it was not just one flea, but she has flea eggs in her hair as well. My question is should this case be reported to CPS or is it something that we should just stay out of? It breaks my heart to see this poor child go through this, when it really isn't her fault.
