WTF? Please tell me you are another troll. Or maybe the same one under a different name. Whichever. Because I cannot cope with any more stupid today.;

No. To young. Let her get her ears pierced first. If she already has them pierced, let her get a second whole.

Jodi, body adornments aren't always to be seen anyway - many are done for the personal satisfaction of the person whose body it is, not for the world to gaze upon.

And if Tallie Simmons and her daughter live anywhere as cold as the North East of England is right now, I would hope no-one, of any age, with or without a belly-button piercing would be exposing their belly in this weather, LOL!!

I didn't know you could get fake ones!

LOL, Angela, you can get fake ones....but ultimately, why would you want to? Doesn't it still send the wrong message? After all, who is going to see it anyway?

She's a little too young for this. Tell her that she can't have her belly button pierced at the moment. Also tell her that "no" doesn't mean "never" and advise her that she can arrange to have her belly button pierced when she's older (give her whatever age you think it's OK to have this done).

That way you've avoided her getting this bodily adornment when she's too young but you've given her some hope for later on. Of course, later on she may not even want it! In which case she'll be thankful that you said no now.

I always feel it's a real shame there isn't an alternative to belly button piercing. With pierced ears, you can delay the decision to have the ears pierced and the girl can still wear attractive clip-on earrings. Kids who fancy the tattooed look can still achieve it with temporary tattoos without making a permanent change to their bodies. But I don't think there is a temporary solution to the belly-button piercing adornment!

I think you can clearly tell by everyone's reaction that people think 9 is way too young.when My daughter was 11 a couple of her friends go there's done, naturally she wanted her's doing too my reply went somthing like " haha I don't think so!" She's 13.1/2 now n she said to me That she is glad she never got it done now (not like she had the option but still) I am not against piercing at all but be age appropriate.

If your 9 year old daughter came up to you and said she wanted to have a baby with a 30 year old man, would you allow her to do that? Of course not! No 9 year old is old enough to get their anything pierced. And yes, I'm even including ears in that!

Of course you can. You can also let her get every inch of her body covered in tattoos, you can let her have sex or get drunk, you can even let her get pregnant and drop out of elementary school. But why would you?

Is this a real question? lol

Are you serious?

It doesn't matter if that's what she wants, you are her parents and she has to follow your rules.
