I dont know what you have tried, but the company I am a distributer for sells this amazing stuff called Clear Action. My nephew is 15 and had acne really bad, my sister tried everything so when I started with this company I found this stuff and she figured why not. Anyways, for the first week or so it seemed to get worse,so I called their product support number and they said to keep using it the full month because the product is pulling out all the impurites in the skin, so it will get worse, but then it will get better. Well, to make a long storie short, his skin looks amazing now. I don't know how it will work for your son, but if you are interested email me or give me your phoe number and I will call you. Good luck.

all of the above is correct - or not. Just get him off the sugar (= carbs),\; try simple (and inexpensive) salyclic lotions and spot therapy for topical everyday usage; and some internal anti-bacterial pills may also help. Took me several years to get to the bottom of it - and it's a constant struggle - but it can be controlled! Good luck.

I would say change his diet... find out what he's eating... research some of the crap that is in our foods and cut it out. Look it up on the internet... here is a little excerp from one I was reading... "eating refined carbohydrates and sugar leads to a surge in insulin and an insulin-like growth factor called IGF-1. This in turn leads to an excess of male hormones, which encourage the skin to excrete large amounts of sebum. This grease-like substance encourages the growth of bacteria responsible for acne. The scientists believe the modern Western diet is to blame."
"refined carbs/sugar = more insulin = more hormones = more sebum (oil) = more bacteria = more acne" http://www.acne-advice.com/articles/link... Don't go see a doctor... they just want your money and have you experiment with different prescriptions to see which one works the longest. At least try the diet thing first... also if he is on any medications now (not for acne), see if acne is a side effect.

skip all the over the counter creams ,lotions , and miracle cures and schedule an appt. with the dermatologist. it is a medical issue and i wasted alot of money , not to mention my son's high school agony's trying everything else first. now his skin has greatly improved! proactive didn't work, made it worse actually.

The best solution for reaqlly bad acne is to see the doctor. I had it when I was a teenager and tried everything. After going to the doctor and getting a one off treatment it was gone in a short time.

Definately worth giving this a try. I suffered terrible acne as a teenager and went on every form of treatement available with no sucess. I went on roaccutane which gave me depression and great skin for a year but dried my skin out terribly. I tried antibiotics the pill creams lotions you name it. Then one night whilst lying in bed I heard there was a new theory that in some people it is bacterial caused by bread ( well the yeast in it). Yes daily bread that most of us eat. Now I only eat yeast free wraps and no bread - what a difference. It did take two weeks to see the results. You have to be more creative when making lunches. Definately worth a try. Hope this helps Now my only skin problems is dryness thanks to roaccutane - would avoid this at all costs short term solution with long term problems. Oil in the skin helps you age better. I have also being using Biore procducts which contain salycilic acid which is in most acne treatments. Especially like the blackhead cleaners which is heat activated. Their moisturiser conatins suncreen and vitimans AC & E. Good luck hope this helps.

Try the proactive formula you see on tv. If that doesn't work SEE A DOCTOR.
