My son is 18 months old and I have stopped giving him the binkie to go to sleep. The problem is now he cries to sleep, which I suppose is normal, but he has always been good about naps and going to sleep at night. Now that he doesn't have the binkie to soothe him, he cries himself to sleep and it's hard to listen to. Any suggestions to make his going to sleep easier (for me)?

Like Ashley says, it will subside. I think the magic number is 3 - three nights? Hang in there - I am getting ready to do the very same thing with my 14 month old. Good luck!

it wil get easier as time goes by. he will cry less and less each time! just hang in there!
