My 2 year old has these sores in her mouth that hurt her a lot. She has been crying non stop and cant sleep. I'm not sure where they came from or what they even are. I just know they are like little red bumps inside her lip and on her tongue. Does anyone know what causes them and/or how to get rid of them?

Sounds like something my middle daughter got after my BIL watched her for us.....(and had a fever blister on his lip......If anyone has kissed your baby (on hands, feet, cheek - anywhere) with a cold sore/fever blister (on the lip or in the lip) it could be this, Also they can get it from resturant utencils (if someone used it and had a sore and not washed properly) Unlike adults babies don't have the immunity to cold sores yet (I don't remember what age it builds up maybe around 4yrs old) but your baby needs to see a dr right away --- If they put their hands in their mouth and then touch their eye they can get them on their face/eye area... There is a soultion called magic mouth wash they can prescribe (for mouth sores) if this is what it is. I believe their is a few other meds they have for it. It is very painful to them!!!! I know how hard it is to see your baby in pain and not know what to do...Get that little on to the dr... right away!!!

If it's just bumps on her tongue and lips figure out if she's been eating anything acidic. Oranges, strawberries, pineapple...those types of things. Could be simply canker sores.

Has she been to the dentist at all? My dd had sores all over her tongue and guns, turned out she has geographic tongue, we just have to avoid highly acidic foods.
