Why is it that the schools think that Special Education (IEP) ends in the class room and does not extend to after school activities. It is listed in my sons IEP that he also participates in high school football and baseball. Why is it that a meeting with the head coaches to make them aware that my son has ADHD and is on an IEP does not spark something in their brains to tell their assistant that screaming and belittling cause tremendous harm to the young man self esteem, self worth and will cause them to regress not reach their full potential. Then when you try to hold the coach's accountable your a problem parent and they will no longer meet with you unless it's set up through the Athletic Director or Principal. When the meeting with them yields nothing satisfactory and actually causes your child to suffer the consequences what do you do?
