I feel as though I am pregnant, I most of the signs, feeling sick but no actual sickness. I'm tired a lot, backache, headache, mood swing and I have gone off food. I have missed my period it has been 3 days now, I know its not alot, but I always come on 4 days before my previous period started, ALWAYS....A week before I was due my period I had some spotting instead of my period which has lasted 3 days....I heard that spotting can be implantaion bleeding so I did a test yesterday and it was negative. My doctor told me to wait a week as it might be to early to tell............ Has anyone been through the same kind of thing? Any help would be great, we have been trying to conceive baby no.2 for 6 months now xx

I actually had a period with my daughter (my first child). With my current pregnancy (3rd child) I also spotted and had some cramping for the first tirmester. We were able to find out just a day after I had missed my period though. Everybody is different. Having spotting instead of your period could definatelly mean that you are pregnant just that you do not have enough of the hormones in your body yet for the test to read positive. Good luck with it, I hope that you are able to hear good news soon! :) God Bless

I would still test after your 'period' finishes. My youngest of 4 was conceived on day 23 of a 26 day cycle; I had a 'normal' period, but 3 weeks later was 5 1/12 weeks pregnant!
As I also had spotting and then prolonged bleeding during the first trimester, without the test I might not have known I was pregnant until over 20 weeks.

spotting is a sign of implantation of the egg that is fertilized. if in the beginning of 3 months of pregnancy...it is the most crucial time. you can have a miscarriage very easily. if you would be pregnant and start bleeding light colored blood, like almost a pink color that can be a miscarriage, if it would get heavier after that. if not a miscarriage. don't pick up nothing heavy at all, don't put your arms over your head, this can cause much problems. also, i'd advice no carrying on as well. my sister had been pregnant with twins in the past and she spotted during her whole entire pregnancy. it was from the baby trying to disconnect from the wall of the uterus. she did have them prematurely and was very healthy baby boys and no they weren't in the nic unit either. 1 was 4 pounds and the other was 5 pounds. if you are pregnant...congratulations.. i hope everything works out. if not pregnant. you said you were trying.. here are a couple of hints of getting pregnant. watch of ovulation...when you have that snot-like mucus coming out... well you can get pregnant then. they say that if you have sex during the ending of your period, you can get pregnant. if wanting a girl,,, well douch before having sex or take alot of acidity stuff..food. the sperms for girls will live through the acidity environment and the boys sperms don't like it much. if you have a waterbed, this can cause you to not to get pregnant. make sure you don't have sex every day.. for it takes 24 hours for the sperms to be fertile again. good luck

With my Daughter I had spotting instead of a period for 4 months..I was on Birth Controll pills so I never suspected pregnancy.

Your best bet is too,, take it easy don'y stress, Taking a bloodtest is the best way to be sure...and you have 2 weeks to prepare yourself for the results whethre good or bad.

I am surprized your doctor didn't send you for an ultra sound besause of the irregular spotting...to make sure it wasn't something like a cyst or possible tubal pregnancy. Maybe that is something to ask your doctor. GoodLuck!!

First. good luck!! I've had the exact same problem happen to me twice. One time I WAS pregnat and miscarried at about 5 weeks. The second time a few months later, I wasn't but had a small blood clot that made my period late with a negitive test even though I had spotting a week or so before... so it is really hard to tell but I'd say if you're at least a day late, try a test at home or go to the doctors and get a blood test done. Those are more accurate than home ones anyway.

Hard one to help with. Every body is individual. I had periods for the the first 3 months and one friend had spotting instead of her period for the first two trimesters. Only advise I can give is stop trying so hard, relax and wonderfull things may happen, but if you stress you are only making it harder for yourself.
