I only breastfed for the first two weeks after Riley was born. Almost seven months later I am still lactating. Its not very much but still, its enough for it to wierd. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem?

I could still express milk almost two years later. I stopped breast feeding when my son was about two months or so old due to a surgery I had.

I breastfed my son for a year, he is turning 2 next month and I still have a bit of milk. I think it is pretty normal but consult your dr. if your concerned.

I have the same thing - i actually had to go in and get a scan done of my breasts because they found several lumps in my breasts - and my doc kept assuring me it is totally normal - when you have a baby (s) your body does some weird stuff... mind you everyone situation is different.. so talk to your doctor because your body is different then mine

I had this experience too... I bf my first child for 1month and still had a bit of milk at 10 months when I got pregnant again. My 2nd babe is 8 months old and I still bf him. I can totally relate to the wierdness of still having a bit of milk several of months after the fact though. You'd think you would be completely dried up, but I wonder If it's the bodies way of allowing us to relactate if so desired. Take care!!!

My boys are 5 and 7 and I still lactate a little especially when it is that time of the month. I asked my doctor about it and she told me it normal to lactate a little because of your hormones. If you talk to your doctor about it he/she might be able to prescribe a medication that will help you dry up. I am not sure though

do you take Paxil for depression? It made me lactate, and apparently other women also...
