I goth them on my thighs when i hit a growth spurt around 13 and have tried everything to get rid of them its genetic and honestly there is no proven method to make them go away, If your mother has them you most likely will get them as well, to make them fade you can try the creams they diminish the appearance of them (very very slightly)but once you stop using it they seem to come back, Another thing you can try is cocoa butter but short of surgery there is nothing you can do,

I was told by my aunt that rubbing the vitamin b12 on your belly every day (once or twice a day) while you are pregnant helps.. so I did and amazingly I have no stretch marks... I also found that it works to heal scabs faster.

if you go to a shop you can get the gel tabs and just squeeze out the liquid onto the area and rub in

Bio-oil is working for me! I use it in combo with the Shea/Cocoa butter concentrated cream for stretch marks. Rub it on in a circlular motion.

I've been told by my best friend's mom that breastmilk will make them go away. She rubs it on her belly when she is in the shower and the woman is about to have her 7th kid and has no stretch marks. I just had my 3rd child and I got a few stretch marks but they have started to lighten up since I've been doing the same thing.

I got them everywhere through my pregnancy. My tummy, thighs, back of my knees, upper arms. It sucks :[
i used cocoa butter and vitamin E oil every day multiple times a day throughout my pregnancy, but i have given up. i don't think anything works.

I have heard of these "recipes":
1/2 cup cocoa butter
1 Tablespoon wheat germ oil
1 Teaspoon apricot kernel oil
1 Teaspoon Vitamin E oil
2 Teaspoon grated beeswax

1/2 cup olive oil
1/4 cup aloe vera gel
4 capsules Vitamin E (remove liquid from capsule and discard casing)
2 capsules Vitamin A liquid

The don't do away completely but they shrink. Ok Work out , eat alot of protein to avoid flabbiness, and use the coa coa butter. It worked for me. They are not as noticeable. Taking Vitamins, it also help inside out.

Avon sells a stretch mark cream that several ppl say it works really well on the red/pink/purple stretch marks left by pregnancy. I've heard that it doesn't work so well on the white stretch marks many ppl get at puberty. Like someone else said, just keep them moisturized and when you rub in your lotion/cream make sure you work it into your skin really well. Massage the area deeply to increase blood flow to the area, this will also work to prevent them/reduce the likelihood of them in the first place. I used regular cocoa butter and massaged it really well and I only have really small ones on my hips and thighs. Anything you do is likely to help, but there is no guarantee that you won't get them.

lol jessica, yeah, i can relate. although i didn't put on any cream throughout and was not too marked. little by little they have disappeared though. it's genetic, weight-related, etc. one gets stretch marks anytime the skin stretches beyond it's capabilities.

Well...sorry 2 tell you it is very hard trying to get rid of stretch marks all 2gether! But i did use JERGENS TUMMY BUTTER and that did seem 2 eliminate the appearence. My stretch marks were very read and deep and the cream turned them white and less noticeable. But you must use it everday. But after you have the baby they seem to fade over time.

My chest only 1 lil strech mark and my butt got some but not much... but my belly and hips are terrible.. i swear it looks like freddy crugger just had fun tearing up my stomache...lol what say about the cream it i think it just luck.. but it cant hurt

i had bad stretch marks, and my friend who is smaller then me is 8 months pregnant and deosnt have a single one. she uses Nivea i think with shea and coco butter.

I am using Bio-Oil and ive found there has been a good improvemnt since i started, im sure that if i used it the way you are supposed to -2 times a day, and from the start of your pregnancy, i'd have better results but i forget and dont use it frequently.

And as time goes by they will fade. Just keep the skin hydrated with natural oils or creams, i dont think it will make them go away all together but i find it is certainly helping to reduce the apeance.

hope you find something that helps, take care :)

sorry to tell you, but they're genetic, and inevitable in that case. if you wait, overtime they will show less, especially if you don't fluctuate too much on the weight. the only way to completely get rid of them is with cosmetic lazer removal. slathering yourself with cream doesn't help, and it's sad that they market "anti-stretch mark creams" o_O
