My 8 month old has had 3 swollen lymph nodes on his neck and behide his ear for almost 4 months now. I took him to the doctor when they first came up and she said he's just fight an infection but did blood work just to make sure. The blood work came back normal with just an increase number of lymphocites. Now, 4 months later they are still there and I'm starting to worry. I googled it and infant luekima came up and now I am just worried sick waiting to call my doctor tomorrow.

Does any have/had a child with swollen lymph nodes that lasted this long? what was it?

You an always follow up on it, which wouldn't be a bad idea after 4 months. One thing to realize is that lymph nodes get swollen even if a child isn't actually sick - they may be fighting an infection or allergy and not display any other symptoms, so they're not considered "sick". If it was a big "fight" for the lymph system, or a continuing one, the glands can stay swollen for a very long time and even cause pain. Sometimes they also stay swollen because the infectious material or allergen become calcified.

Did they say how elevated his lymphocytes were? Did they mention his neutrophils, leukocytes, platelets? If you're concerned I would suggest you make an appointment with a pediatric hematologist and have more blood work done. The sooner you can figure this out the better.
