At 5 months, we started our son on baby cereal and baby food. He loved his pureed fruits and vegetables, the cereal not so much. He, also, liked yogurt. Between 7-10 months, we added bread and pasta with red sauce. At ten months, he was eating bits of chicken and hamburgers. He continues to eat all those things; when we try to add chunky vegetables and fruits (like pieces of carrot and apples), he tastes them sometimes but other times he outright refuses them. He will eat veggies that are chopped in his spaghetti saurce.

He eats basically healthy foods as we still give him 2-3 tubs of pureed veggies and fruits. He eats chicken and beef pieces as well as any breads or pastas we give him. He doesn't like fries or chips. He eats very few sweets, except for very infrequently we give him ice cream or bits of cake.

Any thoughts on how to transition him to chunkier veggies and fruits?

Stop giving him pureed stuff. if he is 10 moths old he should be on all solid foods now. Kids will eat when they get hungry if you just give it to them eventually they will eat it. if he is eating chicken and beef and spagetti then you are on the right track , try mac and cheese, mash potato's,peanutbutter sandwiches, Cereals.. soft foods ,but real food not pureed stuff..
