Can anyone recommended a tear free shampoo that won't make my 3 year old rub his eyes and cry? I've used the bodywashes and just plain ole Johnson's Tear free shampoo and he can't stand either one.

both of my girls HATE having their hair washed so we have what we call magic wash cloths and I have them tilt their heads back and hold the cloth over their eyes and then I use the hand held.

Hand held shower heads are the BEST! We recently got one and it makes the rinsing soooo much easier. My 3 year old prefers to tilt his head down (forward) and I think it's because his hair naturally grows forward. I just tell him to close his eyes and I rinse away and he's fine. It makes the entire process a LOT easier. Gets soapies out of crevices faster too. Hand held shower head. :D

My daughter has really sensitive eyes and even the tear free stuff makes her squirm. We've just gotten to the point where she's learned to tip her head back and puts a wash cloth over her eyes.

I never used tear free shampoos. I use adult shampoos. I simply lay him back in my arm and rinse so no shampoo ever goes in his eyes.

Yea Burt's Bees is good stuff, but at 3 years old, he can take matters into his own hands and learn to close his eyes and tilt his head back when your rinsing out shampoo. He's plenty old enough to understand that concept.

Don't let it get in his eyes. lol! If he doesn't want it in his eyes he has to look up and close his eyes when you rinse. Then you have to be careful. Works for my 2.5 year old. ;)
