At what age do babys start teething? i always thought it was around six months but for the last few weeks my 3 month old has been gnawing on her hand constantly, drooling and is now starting to get mighty grizzly. I give her a cold teething ring to chew on but its tricky because she cant hold it herself yet. Sometimes she sticks her fingers so far in her mouth it makes her gag.

Thanks will give it a try. Only the last few days i have noticed the pain getting to her, she is getting more unsettled and sometimes cries while she bites her teething ring. When she gets really worked up ive been giving her Brauers teething relief but i dont like to give her medication even if it is natural and its hard to tell if its working or just knocking her out. She is only awake for max hour and a half before a nap so is hard to tell.

some babys can start teething as early as 3 months they hav these teething pills that r all natural they help my daughter alot that and vanilla extract but he maybe too young for that

Thats normal, my daughter started drooling , gnawing, gaging herself ,at about 3 months old and she cut her 2 bottom teeth at 6 months. She is now almost 9 months old and her top front tooth is going to cut through at any moment.If you feel she is in pain and she can't hold the teething ring yet you can try massaging her gums, the pressure from your fingers against the pressure in her gums can offer her some relief. You can also give her a cool damp washcloth which might be easier for her to hold.

I used carrots for my children... Cold for the swelling, hard enough to cut through the gums, plus they tasted good. Of course, you should supervise, don't cut them too short for them to hold on to yet still chew on without choking. I didn't have half the problems with teething as my daughter did with her kids.
