there can be any number of things causing you to be late if you were sick or stress or anything really! It is the season for stress to with the holidays! So give it about another 3-5 days before testing!

I had to go and read the posts, yea I am curious about Circle of Moms arguements. LOL LOL. WOW. I do have to say, one thing about TYPING out suggestions, advice and conversations can leave a lot to the translation of the reader. So maybe you write something and in your head it is kind and helpful, but when someone ELSE reads it, it sounds blunt and agressive... so just remember that. I have had that experience with texting so many times.
Anyhow... Like I posted before. Why not just take the test, if the US can get pregnancy tests for 88 cents, then do it... here in Canada the cheapest pregnancy test I have found is 10 bucks!!!
Anyhow, lets keep the peace, we are all mothers, all women who are just trying to do the best we can raising our kids, and supporting each other.

If it it is 2 or 4 days after your expected period - test. Why not? It has happened to me... so I just test. Good luck!

meggy, seriouly, it was asked about testing, not birth control. what method was used has nothing to do with the answers. just about testing.
and really there are health reasons why only this method of bc is being used, and it not your to say what i should be on.
and this was no scare. it certainly was not planned but no scare. and no one is freaking out.
this was ment to be a nice post about testing times and when. and you have turned it into a shit show.

I say test. Go to the dollar store and pick up a couple to have on hand. Test now and later. It never hurts to test.

Being that you just had a baby 5 months ago, it is very well possible your cycle could become irregular even if it has been regular the past few months.

congrats on the first! and personally I would wait. I just had the same thing happen and I missed a cycle for october but tests were negative. but It just happened that I didn't get one! I was just a month late. I would wait and see than test... Good Luck :)

If it were me I would test, Why because I would go nuts I would have tested on the 3rd of Nov lol If I am late there is something up that is just me. (well before my tubes were tied now its all wacky) So I would be loosing my mind if I was late and didnt know. I guess I would test or make an appt with the dr. Cristal I really feel for you since you have to pick on other mom's to feel better about yourself. However I am glad I could make your day better since you obviously were having a bad one.

In my opinion and that of some others I'm not rude, I'm honest and straight to the point. I don't believe in sugar coating something to an adult who should be able to take an opinion or a suggestion as an adult. Sorry that you construe honesty and a matter of opinion as rudeness. It must be nice to live somewhere that doesn't require bluntness.

Christina. Buy a pregnancy test or 3. Pee on it. Then seriously consider using two forms of birth control because there is ALWAYS a chance that one form won't work. And don't take a suggestion as rudeness.

Christina, if you're having issues with what you're using and having a pregnancy scare. AND posting on the internet it's EVERYONE'S place to state their opinion.



Besides I was definitely not rude. Rude would be if I told you you were irresponisble not using another back up method to prevent a pregnancy. You want rude, look up the thread that was on here about a 7 year old playing Halo and read some of the comments. That my dear is rude. What I said was suggesting a better (to me) method besides just a breakable condom.



Suck it up and move on with your life.

Go to your local wal-mart and buy an 88 cent test or two. That way if it's negative you didn't waste a lot of money, then if you still don't get it, test again.

This is why I use internal birth control and breastfeed. I don't need to worry about condoms breaking :)

As a few other ladies have suggested wait it out a few weeks. I usually test 2 weeks after my cycle is due to start. Especially because you just had a baby.

When you do test and if you find you're not pregnant I would suggest another back up method besides just the condoms. Spermacide or some form of birth control.

I would wait at least a week. Stress and hormones can do some crazy things to your body. For quite awhile like clockwork, I was getting mine every 30 days or so and then one month it was 12 days late, but I was not pregnant.

Okay well I'd still wait a few days to take a test, I'm pregnant with my second and I tested when I was 2-3 days late and it was negative, then I tested again a week later and it then showed me posiitive. The tests always say you can test up to 4 days before expected period, but for both I've found the hcg levels aren't strong enough to show on a test until at least 5 days after. But that's just my personal experience

Yeah I'd wait a few more days at least. Like the PP said, your body will still be readjusting after the pregnancy so you may not be regular yet.

that was 27 days ago, so I wouldnt consider that late and especially seeing you just had a baby my cycle was a mess for almost 2 years after I had my son. Id at least wait til your late

I KNOW you want to know ASAP, but I would wait. Think of the $$ you will save waiting a little longer, sounds dumb I know. I would test Dec 7th, write it in a calendar and wait (on pins and needles I am sure). Good luck to however the situation turns out!

Me, I'd test the day I'm due if it doesn't show up hahaha. But I'm very impatient and have a period that starts at the same time every 26days. I swear I could set my watch by it. But in saying that, my tests do show up early. Our first son was the day before I was due....2nd son came up 6 days before I was due (very faint), but a 'standard' dark line came up 4 days before I was due.

I 'think' I'd wait at least a week since you technically aren't even due yet (if you have a 28 day cycle). My periods have been super wacky for the past year and a half if not longer.... ranging from 21-30 days... among other issues. No chance of ME ever being pregnant since I haven't even had sex in almost 4 years. lol
