i suffer with psoriasis have done since i was 14 years old,now nearly 32 would love to chat to others that suffer with this complaint or any other skin complaint about different treatments ,what works for you.

i opened a group for mums with a skin complaint hopefully it will do ok,i have psoriasis eveywhere legs arms front and back of torso in places i derent mention and my face and scalp,so pretty well covered,the only places i dont have it is on my hands and feet,it only ever cleared when i was pregnant and came back with a vengence as soon as i had them,ive tried so many creams i have found the only one that helps is betnovate but it has to be a cream not ointment as everything sticks to you and then i end up itching more,and the sunbeds fantastic 2 times a week for 5 mins ok it doesnt completely go away but it does work sometimes,i tried giving up dairy it killed me,i tried giving up smoking it got twice as bad,certain sprays,cleaning products,softners washing powders make up set me offand make it soo much worse .noone else in my family have this and luckily none of the children who i must say are fantastic they help with the creams and know why i cant hug them on a bad day.there was a cream the specialist gave me went up in 5 stages a steroid cream you put it on and washed it off 10 minutes later,well i had the first one it was fine then went it went up a stage he had moved it by 2 and not said as my mum put it on it burnt my back and stained my skin purple for a while i was like someone pouring acid down ny back never again

Hi Fleur,
I have had pimples, blackheads and acne since I was 10. It is not always constant but has been a constant battle.
I have also had pustular psoriasis outbreaks, but luckily only to small areas. My mum once had it soo bad on the palm of her hands that it would always bleed. She had a job where she was washing her hands a lot during the day and also would get things like pineapple juice on them. I can't remember that well but I think she ended up changing jobs.
I have recently switched to products that don't have dyes, perfumes and mineral oil and my face is getting a lot better. The company also has a body range and I got rid of the cracks on my feet for the first time in at least 5 years. The products seem to be helping my sons dry, rough skin on his back.
Do you have psoriasis all the time?
Have you tried anything you love, or would never use again?
Do your kids have it as well?
