I'm thinking of making the permanent snip! I'm on my 3rd pregnancy, and am looking into getting my tubes cut, and so is the hubby! We want to make sure there are no more accidents. We LOVE our babies, but we're done having babies. 3 is good!
I need some stories to know if I'm making the right decision.

I had mine tied in January 2010. My OB said that my period symptoms might get worse (more cramping, etc) and that was normal. The surgery itself was pretty easy, had some aches and pains for a couple of days after, but other than that, and the worsened period symptoms, it's been good. That said, there is a (very) slim chance of pregnancy the longer it is after your tubal has been done - it is higher at 10 years+ from the date of your tubal. I'm not really worried about it because 10 years from the time I had mine done and I'll probably be in pre-menopause or menopause because I'll be 48 then :) They do recommend you use condoms or another form of birth control for 6 months to a year after the tubal because there is still a small risk of pregnancy up until that point.
