I had bacterial infections through out the majority of my pregnancy. I've been treated for them repeatedly but they aren't going away. If you've had a similar experiance and tried something other than what the OBGYN recomended and it worked please let me know. My daughters now 8 and a half months old and my boyfriend and I are both getting a little fed up, thanks! ... Hell even if your OB recomended something maybe mine hasn't, help I'm a little desperate.

Well any kind of bacterial infection needs to be treated with antibiotics. Both you and your partner need to be treated because like any bacteria it can be spread through contact. Try seeing if your GYN or PCP will write and antibiotic perscription for him as well and see if that helps. Depending on what kind of bacteria, (I don't want this next phrase to come out wrong, no malice intended) try changing the type of underwear you wear. Bacteria grows in dark moist places, and different materials in your panties will hold different amounts of bacteria. 100 percent cotton is the most breathable marterial and will/should cause less infections.

Considering you've stated in the title that this is personal, I'm guessing you're talking about bacterial vaginitis or bacterial vaginosis? If this is the case, your boyfriend has to be treated along with you because he is also carrying it, and although he doesn't have any symptoms he is making you ill over and over.

If not, I apologize for the misunderstanding. It is assuming based on the title alone.
