hi all! i was hoping for a bit of advice if anyone can help? weve got 2 kids already, my son is 2.5, my daughter has just turned 1 and weve got our new baby due in 4 months time! we dont drive so really need a good pram. i really fancy getting a single pram with a detatchable toddler seat for the front and a buggy board at the back so it can change with our needs. any ideas...

we also definitley want one with big sporty wheels, and we cant have a side by side double because they just wont fit through our front door.

any advice or ideas would be great thanks! xx

yeah ive got a double buggy where they sit one in font of the other, it was a real cheap one though and i found it so hard to push. weve only had it a year and its already become impossible as it veers to one side constantly... maybe i oughta stop bein so tight fisted and buy a decent one haha!

and ive seen those little clip on side seats too, think i might go internet snooping and find some reviews, im a bit worried they might put the pram out of balance but i guess he'll only need it for long journeys or days out anyhoo!

I wish the people who made doorways, and the people who made double buggies would get together for a chat - I had the same problem with the buggy being too wide for the door, a real pain if one of them was asleep when we got in as I'd have been happy to let him sleep in the buggy, but didn't want to leave him outside - result, had to wake him up, with the predictable result of having a cranky toddler for the next couple of hours. I would agree about your oldest one not really needing a seat by the time baby number 3 arrives. You could try the front-and-back double buggy - very heavy to get up and down kerbs, but easier to get through doorways.

i thought the same until i decided to downsize to a single buggy with buggy board to prepare my eldest for the changeover... took them out in it today, what a nightmare!! haha. he didnt want to stay on the buggy board long, then run off when my back was turned, threw a tantrum when i tried putting his reigns on and finally decided he wanted me to carry him whilst trying to push the pram and carry the shopping!! hahahaha... not trying that again for a while! :D

unless you go for long walks i would not worry about the oldest having a seat as they will probably want to walk and when baby is really tiny you can just have him/her in a sling or front carrier.

I was going to get the Phil & Ted pram because you can attach a toddler seat to the front or back. You can also get the bike type seat (it's a seat with a bicycle wheel) to attach to the arm of the pram for the older child. The Phil & Ted is really lightweight (less than 10kgs) and folds almost totally flat (which is handy for public transport), but the only downside is that it's a bit pricey unless you can find one on eBay.

Good luck!

I am assuming a pram is a stroller. I had a Cosco two seater stroller (one in front of the other) when my oldest two were little. I didn't like it because the front wheels would stick in a sideway position then I would have to lift up the front to get the front wheels going straight again. I had this problem with all the Cosco strollers I ever had. My best advice would be to stay away from Cosco strollers. No experience with other types of strollers...everyone always bought me Cosco.
