My 6 year old has strep and refuses to take her medicine. I had to fight with her for 45 min. to take just 1 dose! I can't do this for the next 10 days! HELP!!

I hide it in there favorite drinks or food. However, when they start refusing it is time to switch to pills not liquid any longer.

ask her why she doesnt want to take it. if its taste mix it with oj and maybe motivate her with a surprise if she takes her meds... be it a special treat or something larger if she takes all the doses for the next 10 days like a trip to do something she really enjoys. if possible you could hide it in her food but im thinkin at age 6 she could figure it out...
explain to her that if she doesnt take her meds that the strep can be transfered to the ones she loves and cares about. explain that she will not feel better without the medication and big girls like mummy take their meds without arguement...
