Hi mums, I was just wondering how to go about toilet training? Any ideas? Ive tried the stickers after he goes on the potty and making a really big deal when he uses it, but it is only happening about twice a week, there doesnt seem to be any improvement. We have been at this stage for a few months, how do we move forward?

Thanks Tamalyn, My son is 2y 2m, Im not in a big hurry but have no2 coming in Nov and would like him confident by the so as to not regress! Did you try trainin g nappies or pullups??

when i toilet trained my 3, i put the potty in the living room and when he/she wanted to go, i used to sit them on it until they went. I used to take the potty everywhere with me as they dont like big toilets for a while. get a toilet seat to put on your toilet if they dont like the potty. obvioulsy there were accidents etc i would also put big girl knickers or big boy pants on them to make them feel big. this didnt work with my middle son he would mess if he had anything on so i ended up putting long t-shirts on him and it worked in the end. all mine were day trained by 2&1/2 and night trained shortly after. my daughter used to wait for her nappy at night to do a no.2 i cottoned on and sat her on the potty until she had done it.so night trained she was very quick lol you didnt say how old your child is?
