Toilet training regression

After peeing exclusively in the potty and on the big toilet for more than 3 months now, my daughter regressed to peeing her pants all the time the last 3 days. She does use the toilet every now and then, but it is a very rare exception - Most of the time I would notice her shifting from one foot to the other just as she does before she needs to pee and when I ask her - Do you have to pee? She will say "no" and then do it in her pants shortly after. I am completely perplexed and very annoyed by her behavior and am wondering what to do. Please, give me ideas and advice? To add, she is very strong-headed and stubborn, and is an honest representation of the "terrible 2's" Thanks

Go back to the potty, big toilets are a lot of work for 2 year olds. You might find if you put a potty back out for her she will choose to use both the potty and the toilet.

my three yr old did this some. She would get in a corner or go behind a door and squat to pee...one time she even did it in the middle of a church service...no lie(it's funny now but wasn't then) any way if you think she needs to go then take her and sit her on the little potty....you can pretend you have to go then she might be more comfortable going when mommy goes...i did this and it seemed to work for the most part...good luck

put training pants back on her. and if she understands how to change her underwear (some do at 2 some dont) then make her change her pull up every time. eventually she may get tired of doing it. also, occasionally put her on the potty when u see her doing the foot thing... if she has to be there anyway, she might just go. tell her its bathroom time (maybe u can go too)

Thanks, I will definitely keep an eye for a health issue there! But she does not show discomfort of any kind and is very intently scooting down and preparing to pee - on the floor, on the couch, on her chair.... :-( I wonder should I just start putting diaper again for sometime, or should I calmly and persistently change the peed panties and buy some more?

When you are doing behavior modification, an extinction burst happens. That means the desired behavior has become null and void. This may last a few weeks, or a few days.
It is very very common in potty training, so don't worry it's normal.

Is it possible she has a bladder or yeast infection? It may hurt to go, so she'd try to avoid it.
