You could have very well got pregnant. Too soon to tell is before your first missed period, but seeing as you have missed it, I think you can take it and it will be accurate! Good luck, and I hope for the best!

i was a week late and took a test AND it was positive but i used an early pregnancy test so have a look for one of those , good luck !!

Remember your Folic Acid ladies...it helps to prevent neuro tube defects, (spinabifida etc) which can occur as the the fetus develops in the first few weeks. Make sure it is in your system before you become pregnant. It can be purchased over the counter and is not expensive. Ideally this needs to be taken 3months before you conceive and up till the 12th week of pregnancy.

If you really wanna know and don't mind spending the money, take it the first day your period is late. If you want to not spend the $$ unless it's necessary, wait a week and then take it.

My boyfriend and i took 1 about every week (it seemed like anyway) but we didn't get a positive one until like 5 weeks after. So if its only been a week it might be to early yet. I would wait til at least 3 weeks and if that is negative try again in a couple weeks. Buy one of those double packs.

My mom got pregnant with both my brother and I, no problems and had a tilted uterus.  (In fact, with me she was on BC!) I know each woman is different, but think positively, it'll happen soon I'm sure.

6 days late is plenty late enough to take a test. I took my first one 2 days before i expected my period. Get a double pack they're usually the best value. That way you can take another if you need to wait a day or two or if you just want to see the positive sign again! Good luck!

My husband and I actually bought our prego tests from the dollar store for a buck each! Our Dr said they can only give false negatives and not false positives so we took our chance on them. I had only missed my period a couple days and my dollar pee stick told me I was prego! which was later confirmed by my Dr.! Good luck!

You can take a pregnancy on the first day that your period is late. You can try and get one of the ones that have a free one in the kit just in case you are not pregnant this time and you need one for next month. LOL.

I took a test two weeks before my missed period and it was positive :) But every woman is different. I would say take a test. Good luck!

Thanks so much everyone. In answer to the above question, no I have not had any discharge or color at all.Nothing. The thing is, even when it's late, I usually still get cramps or even a little spotting on the days I would normally get it, this time there's been nothing at all.I want to find out asap, my husband thinks I should wait a while, but I was recently hospitalized and diagnosed with IC, an ongoing bladder condition, which means that things will have to be dne a bit differently with this pregnancy. I am on prescription meds,that are supposed to be ok during pregnancy , but I need to make alot of decisions, so I want to find out now. I will let you guys know what I find out.

I've been wondering the same thing.
The OH and I were planning to start trying for a baby in October. But well we've had a couple of accidents where we used nothing. The last time was just over one week ago about 1 week after the end of my period. unfortunately I have no clue about my cycle, when I ovulate or anything so don't really know when my most fertile TOTM is. I guess I shall just have to wait and see if Aunt Flow arrives on time or not.

Do you have any brown discharge or spotting? I would say get the Clear blue 3 pack, the results are pretty clear and you have three tests if you want to do more than one. Some drugstores usually have coupons for them.

Yeah the generic ones at walmart work great. I buy the tests in three packs. One for the day your suspicious, the second one to take the next week and one for a month later. Better to be safe than sorry

i've always believed that 2-4 weeks is a good time. Before 2 weeks you can actually get a false result so it's best to wait til about 2 and a half 3 weeks. It's also good to do a double test just to be sure. I've had positive results in home pregnancy tests that have later proven to be false. Hope this helps

i took a pregnancy test without missing a period and it came back positive, shocked both hubby and I because I just took it , just because. did think i was. my daughter is now 4yrs old. i would take one or two, set your mind at ease.

my test came back positive just 2 weeks after falling pregnant. My 8 year old was already asking if i had a baby in my tummy because i was off colour, and my oh was pretty sure i was, he just knew :-)

I took a pregnancy test within days of falling pregnant. I thought my period was 2 months late, but it was really only a few days. It sounds dumb, but it's true... I had completely forgotten!

If you read the packet, it says that you can use them shortly after your missed period. As others have suggested, get a couple cheap ones and then an more expensive one after a positive result.

They sell them at the dollar store for $1. They say they work just as good. You can ovulate later in the month, stranger things have happened.You might want to buy in bulk babyhopes.com sells them cheaper in lots. That way if you miss another period you can test without worrying about the cost as much. Good luck!

Get one from the dollar store, and it if it comes back positive, take a "good" one! I used a dollar store test the day my period was due and I got a positive. Well, my husband says it was positive, I couldn't see the line. But I took a First Response and sure enough, there was the line! Definitely go to the dollar store!

If it were me, I would buy a double pack. Take one now, and if it comes back negitive, wait a few days and if you still havent started take the second one.
