We will be traveling in October for 2 weeks and will be taking our son, who by then will be 21 months old. He has already outgrown his play yard, but is still in a crib at home. I don't know if he will be into a toddler bed by then, and he doesn't sleep in the same bed with my husband and myself. We will be staying with friends and family, who both have limited space! Does any one have any advice on what to do with the sleeping issue??

I had this and it was great, smushes down really small...but inflatable with these raised sides enough to keep a little one in. It even comes with it's own detachable sleeping bag/blanket kind of idea and inflatable headboard thing. If I had to guess It's about the size of a crib mattress...it's great though!!

you could always get a nap mat, like one of the ones they have to use in daycare or kindergarten, you can find them at walmart or babies r us. that way even if he's not in a bed, he'll be close to the floor, so he won't get hurt if he rolls off.
