Hi ladies.

My son has been sick with a fever for a few days, and yesterday he got a fever blister on the corner of his mouth. Is there anything I can do to help it heal? It looks like it has a scab on it already, so do I just let it "do it's thing"?

I took my daughter to the doc. last week with the same thing. They said it was a virus or that sometimes fever blisters in small children can cause fevers. They told me Neosporin was the best for smaller children. The over the counter creams specifically for blisters might be to strong for sensitive skin. My daughters blisters healed much faster than mine ever do.

No problem. :) I used to be riddled with fever blisters when I was a kid.

Oh, and it's non-greasy.

If it's scabbed over already, you just have to keep it clean. If it's bothering him, you can use Polysporin for children. It has a numbing agent in it and it will help it to remain clean while healing it a bit faster.
