just keep trying; it took me 7 mnths to get preg w/ my 1st; then i miscarried; then i got preg w/ my 2nd that following dec; but having ur partner where boxers instead of briefs and only having sex once per week instead of every day does increase your chances; also take prenatal vitamins; eat well; drink lots of water and get plenty of rest; if u have $ to burn; invest in fertility shots or buy those ovulation kits they sell in drug stores

Buy LH/ovulation test strips off of Amazon, they are much cheaper than the ones you buy in the stores & are the same ones we use in the labs. I got 300 for $30, and in the stores you pay $30 for 6 test stips. Some times you have to take the ovulations tests twice a day to catch that little window of LH surge that says you will ovulate in 24 to 48 hours. I also went on www.askdramy.com & printed out my most fertile days & left it on the fridge for my husband to take the duh factor out of it for him.

Also must lube you use will inhibit the mobility of your mans sperm (K-Y ect) they sell sperm friendly lubes such as Preseed on line and at CVS ect if your having problems with dry cervical mucus. Monitor your cervical mucus, you'll become a pro, it doesn't have to be a huge amount but if you notice clear to pink slippery egg white type of dischage (just check the toliet paper when you pee, if you notice it is kinda clear & glistening chances are good) call NASA because it is time for lift off! And one last thing in all this info...you can take the OTC drug Guaifenesin AKA mucinex or the generic form during your cycle to make your cervical mucus more sperm friendly. Mucinex thins all mucus in your body including cervical mucus which is a good thing.

I tried for 5 months and nothing. Then I relaxed and said it will happen when it happens...and I got pregnant. Try to relax. Also they sell ovulation things at the store, they're like a pregnancy test to tell you when you are ovulating. My friend bought that and got pregnant the first month.

I'm almost 27 and wanting another child as well. I have a 2 yr old son already. I've asked the same question and always get the same answers. I can tell you that I understand the stress of it all. My advice to you is try not to stress about it. Relax any chance you get. Have sex often of course :) Things I've been told: avoid- Drinking, bathes, peas (?), caffiene, smoking. Monitor your temperatures, get ovulation prediction kits, monitor cervical mucus. remain on your back for at least 30 minutes after having sex. Eat well, take vitamins that include folic acid. maintain a healthy weight.

I think that's everything i've been told so far lol. But, for me the best advice is relax and enjoy. Make sure you see your doctor if you have any concerns, but sometimes it just takes a little time. Good luck.

The best advise I have always heard...quit trying when you want it it never happens, just relax and have lots of nookie whenever.

I know a few people who have currently been through this. I think the most important thing is to get in touch with your cycle so you know when you're ovulating (and if you're ovulating). You need to make sure you're having sex at the right time! Also, go to the doctor for a check-up so they can make sure you don't have any infections etc. Good luck!
