My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant with baby number 2 since about August....and still no luck. I have several apps where I track my period so that I know when ovulation occurs so we can best time sex...which is extremely difficult with a 15 month old...any tips to help increase our chances?

Don't time it, just do it. Stress can't be helping. I have known couples who tried for 2-3 years to conceive and then they stopped trying and it happened within a couple of months.

I agree with the other ladies. Apps also don't know your cycle, they only know the "average" cycle.
I was also exactly the same as Kristy, my first 2 I conceived during the "normal" times but #3 was also day 2.

I think I read somewhere it's not helpful to have sex exactly when ovulation occurs, better a few days before. Try to relax and have sex often just for fun, don't time it, most people finally conceive when they relax about the whole issue.
If you have 2-3 times a week sex and you count in that sperm lives 4-5 days you got the whole time covered anyways and don't have to worry about when you ovulate.

Stop trying to conceive and tracking everything and just have sex every second day. If you loose the stress of it then it seems to happen a lot sooner. The whole ovulation thing can also be off, my first two children i conceived between days 8 and 16 of my cycle where as my third was conceived on day 2! goodluck i hope it all happens soon for you.

I wouldn't really go by the apps -- I would go your own body's signals instead. Are you monitoring any other fertility signs, like cervical mucus and cervical positioning/opening?
Honestly, though, I feel your pain. We've been trying since May, with no luck. My doctor told me to just stop charting and try to have sex every second day (sometimes easier said than done!)
Just make sure you don't use ANY artificial lubricant -- it can kill sperm.

Have sex before ovulation, at least a week in advance. Sperm can live for only 4-5 days. You can also try ovulation monitors or let it happen on its own, the anxiety of trying since Aug. may be causing you not to ovulate.
