i have a big 4'd ultra sound on fri. I'm scared out of my mind because I don't know what is wrong with my son has this ever happened to anyone befor?

I had the same thing happen to me. I had an ultra sound done on 24th Dec and didn't find out she was really ok until the 17th of Jan because the hospital was on minimal manning over the holidays so everyone could take a little leave. It happened to only be a shadow and if it is anything that concerns the doctor they will let you know. My doctor reassured me that there was no problem With my Emma because she had such a strong heart beat and if there was an issue the heart beat would not be as strong and fast and would probably have a whooshing sound between beats. The spot ended up being a small shadow no hole or anything. However just call your doctor if you don't have an appointment soon and ask them to see you early. I couldn't do that do to the fact that the half of the hospital was on leave and would never wish the feeling I had on anyone. You and you baby are in my thoughts and I hope everything goes well for you.

Wasn't there a technician who analysed the ultrasound and notified your doctor of any issues? They are trained to read the ultrasounds and pick up on these things......Have you spoken to them or seen the report?
