I would look into your heritage (or your hubby's heritage) and try to find a name there. That way, it has some family significance and there are a lot of unique names in other countries.
For example, my hubby's paternal family is Russian and my hubby really likes that part of his heritage, so when we were looking for names we looked up traditional Russian names and that's how we found our daughters' names. I wanted something that was ethnic, without being too ethnic (if that makes sense...). In the end, we chose names that are Russian, but they are also easy to understand, pronounce and spell in English as well.
Also, we had a lot more fun with the spellings and pronunciations of the kids' middle names in case te kids want to go by something uber unique when they get older.
Some girl names I personally like are: Contessa (princess in Russin), Katya (k-ah-t-yah) and Annya (ah-n-yah). Those were all possibilities for our kids, but just didn't match their personalities :)

HI, I have a few hope they are helpful to you.
My daughters name is Callista. The traditional spelling is Calista. But we prenonce her name Call-e-sta.It is Greek and means most beautiful.
Lyris: means harp player. Greek
Inari: means a lake. Finnish
Etain: means shinning brightly. Irish
Those are a few unique and nice sounding girl names to get you started.

not sure of what you mean by unique because with kids names anything goes these days. i have two boys and we didnt want anything to "out there" for names, we wanted something simple but not to awful common. some names we considered had we had girls were Natalie, Elyse, Hayzel and Ember (middle names we played with were kae and rose(family significance))
