- hard to think of history/culture places that are good for a 2 1/2 year old. St. Augustine, FL is a great city (first city in america). there's a huge fort, beaches, you can go on archaeological sailing trips, a trolley that takes you on a tour of the city (great for kids that age)
- a national park - camp or rent a cabin nearby
- rent a condo/house by the beach - Florida's pretty cheap right now. Cocoa Beach and Daytona/New Symrna are close enough to DIsney that you could spend a day at Disney

i was so sick the first 15 weeks of my pregnancy and even after that a bumpy bus ride would make me nauseous. i would never go on a cruise pregnant.

We were thinking a cruise or disney, but I wouldn't want to go on any of the rides if baby #2 is on the way.  We just love to travel in general to places with history and culture (one of my fave destination is New Orleans, and Cairo, Egypt)  I'm not a lets fly somewere to go to a theme park kind of person,  there is so  much more to the world.  Only prob is with the passing of my dad,  economy, and then my husband having to go the hospital money is getting tight, but I am determined to do something uplitfting.  Oh and we live in good ole Illinois.

You could do a Disney cruise. We went when my daughter was 2.5, my son was 5. They both loved it. Oh and at under 3 they are practically free. We have also gone to Storyland in NH. I'm not sure where you live. Or Mystic, CT. the Mystic Aquarium is great! We haven't gone but we might next yr is Sesame Place in PA. Friends of ours loved it and went a few times over the years. Sorry to hear about your Father *hugs*

Where do you live? We live in VA, and there is a great year round indoor water park in Williamsburg that we go to every January. Book it now, because of the Thanksgiving holiday, things will fill up soon.

Congratulations on the possible second baby!

Whenever my family wanted to go anywhere while I was pregnant, we basically did the same things we may have done if I hadn't been pregnant. Of course there were some things we didn't go to do: amusement parks and sledding were out of the question.



I don't know where you live... but my favorite things to do when my family can get away include the beach (any time of year) Hiking, anything we can do outside. If you can get away to a ski resort type place, (we live in the Pacific Northwest) I know you won't be able to hit the slopes but it can be equally fun to help your son build a snowman and be the photographer as they do some sledding. Plus, some of the resorts have very nice cozy cabins and the atmosphere and scenery would be very nice.
