Vomiting with thrush

My baby is 8 weeks old and only having breastmilk.....and hasn't found his thumb...yet!!!  my other two are thumb suckers but the thrush had gone before they found their thumb.  Will your 10 month old wear gloves?? ..put cream on his thumb and tape a glove on..so it stays put. ...just until the thrush goes...sounds like a mission I know!!    Keep treating it for 2 weeks after it looks like it's gone!!   Our thrush came back because I had to go on antibiotics..although we continued to treat while on the antibiotics it has persisted and hasn't gone yet....it's very stubborn!!!

My 10 month old has thrush and so far no signs of it on my nipples but he took the antifungal solution for 2 weeks and it looked ok then after 2 days it's back. He is a thumb sucker which i can't sterilize any suggestions? I haven't had vomitting with it?

Yes...have been treating them aswell as baby!!!  hope that it goes completely this time...fingers crossed!!   Thanks.

I do not mean to sound sick or anything, but do you have a yeast infection on your nipples? That is one way to pass it back and forth, or with a pacifier... Anything that keeps going in the babies mouth can cause it... 

This is what I found, I hope it helps...

If you are breastfeeding and your nipples are red and sore, there's a chance you may have a yeast infection on your nipples, and that you and the baby are passing it back and forth. If so, you may want to talk to the doctor about using an antifungal ointment on your nipples while the baby is being treated with the antifungal solution.

If your child keeps getting oral thrush, especially if he or she is older than 9 months, talk with your doctor because this might be an indication of another health issue.

My babies only vomited with the signs of oral thrush...white on tongue etc..  They would 'explode' at any time ...while burping, an hour after feeding, during feeding and even wake up in bed covered in milk!  ..quite depressing when you're breastfeeding...all that milk gone!!! and one hungry little baby with an empty tummy!    But when the thrush had gone (or appear to have gone) the vomiting goes away.

Do you sit your baby after feeding??? My twins both suffer from GRE (sever acid reflux) and when they are done eating I have to sit them up in a chair for about 1/2 hour... Does your baby vomit during feeding time or after?? My son had to sit up to eat or he would vomit.... I hope this helps..

I have a 7 week old baby who also suffered from oral thrush due to the heavy-duty anti-biotics is was given in hospital. It took weeks to get rid of and she also was vomiting a lot during this time.
