I'm 30 weeks into my pregnancy. My baby is now 2lbs 11oz. is that normal weight? or is my baby big? or to small?

Peita is right, they cannot accurately weigh your baby in the womb and im sure that if the doctors had any concerns about your babies weight they would have told you. I had 5 doctor and midwifes tell me at 35 weeks that my baby was huge, biggest head they had ever felt, I had scans and according to their scales she was the size of a 41 week old baby, needless to say as a first time mum I was terrified, I wanted to be induced there and then but they refused so I didnt sleep because I was so scared of delivering what they had me believe a baby the size of a 4 month old!, she was born 2 weeks early, 6pounds 8 oz, small for her age, couldn't believe it they were all wrong and I had worried for nothing! When it comes to how far your progressing and how much the baby is growing they measure from the top of your uterus to your pubic bone, I think in the last couple of months your supposed to be growing a cm a week, I was always a little out but my bub was fine. Talk to your doctor if your worried about bubs weight, and good luck, not long to go now! :)

They sometimes don't get the weight right! Apparently you need to give or take about a pound! If doctors aren't concerned about it then I wouldn't worry! I had my little girl 3 weeks early and she weighed 7lb 9oz, snd everyone told me she would of weighed at least 9lb if she had gone full term (I was induced for pre-eclampsia)! They do gain a lot of weight in the last few weeks!

i was 37weeks and she was 5lbs to 5lbs 10 and was born at 6lbs 50z she gained most of hers from the 30weeks so your little one still has lots of time to gain more weight.mostly in the last weeks the pile it on lol.so id say dont worry the doctors would bring it to your attention if the were worried.

i am not a professsional so i can not answer your qutestion , but i have hads 2 boys and know that it is the last 1-2 months the baby gains weight
