My daughter is almost 8 months old and still not crawling. I'm not in a big rush for her to start moving but other babies I know are all crawling and pulling themselves up already. Just curious.

It varies for different babies. Play time alone, environment and time with you all contribute. Some just take a little longer, while others are fast learners. My daughter started scooting around at about 4 months and was crawling by 5, walking at 9 months. No child is the same. I have friends who's kid never crawled and went straight to walking.

My son started around 6 or 7 months. She'll get it, don't worry. Just make sure you put her down often enough for her to try and supervise her :)

PS the time to check with doc is if you get to 10mo and no commando crawling or proper crawling.

The normal range for crawling is 6 to 10 months. I have seen lots of posts from mums of 8mo old asking the same question so its perfectly normal. Mine is 9mo tomorrow and is nowhere near mobile.

My son is turning 9 months on the December 3rd. He's been doing an Army crawl since about 6 months. But in the past few weeks he' started using his hands and knees. All babies progress at different paces. My neice is 14 weeks older than my son and he has progressed further than she has. He's trying to walk and she stands on her tip toes and refuses to walk. All babies are different. Just enjoy the time you have before your daughter can't think of anything but crawling away from you.

Mine all started around 6 to 7 months, but I know that it is normal if they dont start till 9 or 10 mnths. I think if you have other children in the home they seem to do things a little bit faster. Hope this helps :)
