Mine are called Travis and Zane, which isn't too weird, but if I ever have another then he'll be called Seven.

My youngest is called Declan. It's Irish and means tenth born but he is only one of two!! Thought it really unusual 16 years ago. Heard somebody on the TV called Declan in 'The Riff Raff Element' - a comedy drama thing that was on. Mind you nobody else seems to remember the programme! Let us all know what name you decide on!

You might try going to lists from different countries or regions - I live in a french community in Canada and I've heard some pretty unique names here - Livain, Alzeo, Cashin, Riel, Tilmon, Onile, Mederic, Eliodore, Nazaire, Etienne, Jadus, Emmanuel, and first nations Canadian names I've heard - Larkin, Nahanni, Sequoia. A lot of the names I saw from other posters are quite common here in Canada but having lived all over the country in the past few years, I've noticed that popularity tends to be regional. I never heard or saw the name Caden in the Quebec area where my first was born, but it was extremely popular in the north where our second was born.

Quoting Roxanne:
I am sharing a colossal secret here, as this is my most prized baby name. We are going to be naming our first son Paxton. Good luck!
Also, I like Xavier, Evan, Ian, Alton, Elijah, Hunter, Luke, Grant, and Theodore-although only because of the nickname Theo. My husband hated these because they were "too effeminate". I have known a Clinton, Wade, and Trey as well but these do not strike my personal fancy.
I also was good friends with a Blaise (sounds like Blaze). He was gorgeous. LoL.

My husbands name is Parrish, and I love its uniqueness, but he hates it, so I was like you with my son (Elliott) I found that the names that we considered the most were the OLD common names. Oliver and Oscar were others we considered.

I'm partial to going back to basics for names. I work in a daycare and see sooo many weird names that I'm sure their parents thought were "original". The "standard" or biblical names are acutally the more unusual now, and they are truely classic. Of course there are some weird ones there too.
I also was given advice to check out the initials to avoid weird combos, and also how they would be as his monogram.

I like Cassias. Like Cassias Clay- Muhammad Ali.... Also some Hawaaiian names have great meanings and sound beautiful. I know a family with names of the sons; Kanoah, Kalani, Kekoa, Kakoa, Keoni. Not sure why they all start with K. But that is besides the point. Hope the suggestions help.
