What are some tips to help my toddler night train (toilet)?

My son is a little more than 2.5 & has been day time toilet trained for more than a year. He was getting himself up very early in the mornings to use the toilet and/or take the wet diaper off, so we thought it was time to night train.



We switched him from diapers to pull ups, but they made no difference, so we put him in training underwear with plstic pants over the top. But now he is sleeping through the wetness & it leaks to his PJs & sheets. We've been ggetting him up to go before we got to bed (10:30). I've tried getting him up really early in the mornings to go, but I can't find that time before he pees...he's always drenched.



Are there any tips to help him get up, or do we just need to wait a bit longer?

He's TWO! He's perfectly normal. Put him in a pull up and let the poor boy sleep. Disturbing his sleep for something that is 100% age appropriate is absurd.



I do have a kid that has been dry through the night since before he was potty trained (has only wet the bed once in over a year now), but I also have two kids that wet the bed on various occasions until they were 8.5!



Let the boy be. Seriously.

Set an alarm for about 2 or 3 am to get up with him and take him to use the BR. That or wait awhile. My son is 4 1/2 and still not night trained, even with me getting him up to go in the middle of the night. Boys are more difficult than girls to night train. My daughter is a year younger than him and is night trained.
