Did you know that some Preschools in Australia and no longer singing some Nursery rhymes due to our highly sensitive society?

I use to be a Preschool teacher and was absolutely gobsmacked when I heard some aren't being sung anymore.

Three blind Mice is too violent and suggest cruelty to animals and Ba ba black Sheep is too racial.*groan*

There are more, but i can't remember them at the moment.

Nursery Rhymes are suppose to be fun and kids don't see them in an negative light, not like some adults do.

It's ridiculious!!

YES YES!!!! I want to say the moment I gave birth my then boyfrien'ds best friend went to the store and came back with "Not for kids Only" by Jerry Garcia and David Grisman. Its all about childhood songs that were our parents favo's that they have brought from the cloest with dust to life and light. I listen to it daily with my child who loves the songs such as "fright train" or "jenny Jenkins". Its been a popular favorite of her's since I have been playing it the moment she came home. Shes now thee. Ten stars!!! Good question.

"Old MacDonald". My 7 month old LOVES it cause of all the animal noises you have to make. Plus, it can go on for as long or as short as you like!
