OK mamas... I am shopping for potty training pants. I need leak holders, and don't want to spend $15 a pair. Potty Scotty PUL pants have good reviews, so I may get those. I'm a cloth diaper mom, so I don't use disposables. I want him to feel wet when he goes. Moms who have been there... impart your knowledge please!

I was told by many preschool teachers, my doc AND my sister-in-law who is in early childhood education to keep them in diapers until they start going on the potty, then put them in underwear.

The Gerber training underwear works great. They also come in a triple layer for when you first start out. There are two layers in the "wetting" area and the whole outer area is plastic to prevent leaks. You can throw them in the wash with your regular load.

I used regular under wear durring the day and pullups at night. It works for me they know when they are wet! They learn pretty fast, good luck!

I just used the gerber trainers (which are great because they start at 18 months) and plastic pants over them. Then she graduated to no plastic pants.
