My daughter's always asking for stories. She loves The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Cat in the Hat at the minute. She also loves I Love You Little Monkey. I've started both mine off with board books so they can get used to handling them without destroying them - and the pages are easier for little fingers to turn on their own!

My son always loved "Rumble in the Jungle"; my daughter liked anything by Eric Carle, and my favorite is "The Mitten" by Jan Brett. We also like reading Dr. Suess books, Berenstain Bear books, and books by Robert Munsch. Three other faves are: "But No Elephants!", "What Moms Can't Do", and "The Runaway Pumpkin". We've gotten the majority of our books from Scholastic Book Orders (I hear they have a website, but haven't gone to it.). There are so many good books for kids...you'll find a favorite.

My daughter Loves Books!! she is 17 months old and since she was about 8 months old she has been obsessed with reading books. She would much rather read a book even if its by herself then play with all the toys. I love the touch and feel books, I love you forever, dr suess, she also loves books that show different things in then for seasons, animals, shapes etc. I take my daughter to child literacy classes for kids of any age and we are very lucky to be given free books each class

I love the books by Mo Willems about Gerald the elephant & Piggie. They're hilarious & easy to understand, & the pictures are simple, yet extremely expressive. I'm also fond of most of the Dr. Seuss books.

i could go on and on with this because we are a big reading family. just to name a few though: I love you forever, i love you stinky face, (and if you have more than one child you are expecting another one) Little Tiger's Big Suprise!, and I Wish I Was The Baby! these helped with the transition to more children in the family. it made them feel that they were still important and loved even though there was another little one.
