We used the saline nasal spray all the time. You can also try elevating the head of his bed.

Saline spray, also take your child to the doctor this young it can lead to something more, the dr may give you a nebulizer for your baby to breath in and clear up any congestion don't use any medication over the counter, hope this helps. also i work for a pediatrician

hey don't do anything, your baby is too young to be giving him staff that the pediatrician does not recomend. hey take him to the doc and ask her (that she is the one to know) what you can do for a 2 week old baby.

OH! And they also have Baby Vicks Vapor rub that helps too. That's something else that was suggested.

My son has had congestion problems since he was about that age. The dr made me put a pillow under his mattress or let him sleep in the carseat to help. And said not to use the bulb syringe unless he can't breath while he's eating because using it too often can cause problems. Now the poor baby is on breathing treatments! =(

Hi. Put in somr saline nose drops or spray. Then use a little piece of cotton wool that you rolled up and insert it in the nose and pull out. Do this 3 times per day. If it is really bad you can use iliadin or something similar (decongestant drop), but be sure to not use it longer than 5 days.

turn the shower on really hot, close the door, and sit in the bathroom (not in the shower) and let him breathe the steam, have tussues and the bulb syringe handy

Vaporizers help and you can also use the steam from a shower to help some.

Call your dr. and see what they suggest. You could try nose spray, which is just a saline solution, they have them for children. Put a drop or two in each side and use a bulb syringe to suck out what it loosens up, when needed. Baby may gag a little from the solution running through his sinuses and down his throat, but it seemed to help our little ones. Hope he gets better!

Saline nasal spray works wonders. Also, try a cool mist humidifier. It will help him sleep.
