My 7 year old CANNOT stop picking and eating from her nose.Its very gross and turns my stomach everytime I see her doing it. I have tried every and anything to stop this but she cant stop.HELP PLEASE!

dip their fingers in vinegar, then dry them off, but dont wash them so they have vinegar still on their hands. The vinegar smells gross, and tastes gross too. They wont want those fingers anywhere near their mouth or nose! Its harmless, people often use vinegar to stop nose bleeds, so ingesting it or getting it into the nose wont do any harm. Your kid will never go digging again

If you keep picking your nose, you’ll eventually pick your brain out.
Stop picking your nose or nobody will be your friend, even Elmo.

My Aunt told me when I was little that If I picked my nose my eyeballs would fall out. I tried this with my 7yr old and had no effect he laughed at me. I usually make him blow his nose with me helping, Blow harder! Harder!! A good nose blowing usually clears him up.

ok one, stop making a fuss... hand him or her a tissue and walk away... most things like that are done because they like the reaction you guys are giving them. Two it's a habit... so its hard for them to break... try... showing them what they are eating... put dust... hairs anything you see floating in the aptmosphere on a plate and present it to them for their tea (make sure you hide their tea) when they make a fuss... tell them but it's your favourite... it's what boogers are made of... see how they react to that. 7yr olds are interested in science also... so go online and look up body functions and show them that the nose is a filter for all sorts of germs and things... Lastly... if these things don't work tell them you dont want to see them doing it so do it, in their rooms ect...

My son who is also 7 does the same thing. I get on him every time that he does it, but he thinks it is so funny. I know that he can tell that I am not happy by the look on my face. When you find something that works please let me know!!! Good Luck
