My kids called me "Mum" or "Mummy" but I presumed it had
something to do with our being from the Greater Boston area of
Massachusetts and having a great grandmother who was from
Birmingham, England.

And I'm Swedish living in Belgium, my daughter use mamma or mummy depending on which language she is talking (Swedish or English). Once she starting to learn French, I guess maman will be added to the mix as well. Love it that we are from so many different places . . .

My kids used to call me mummy when they were little but now I'm mum to them. I'm Grannie to my Spanish granddaughter but she also has Abu, a shortened version of abuela, her other grandmother. I come from North West England.
