I had the extreme version of morning sickness called hyper-emesis, my mom had to give me promethazine shots in my hip every 4 hours and I had home health giving me fluids so I didn't have to go to the hospital every day, it stopped around my 16th week but every once in a while I would still get sick. My dr. told me that I would probably have it that bad for every pregnancy I had so needless to say I ended up only having one child, it scarred me for life!!

When I was pregnant with my second I had horrible morning sickness. My hormones were so out of wack that I would be sick every two hours if I did not eat at least a few crackers. But ginger really helps, ginger ale, ginger teas, or fresh ginger root. I would drink herbal night time tea with grated ginger root in it. It made a world of difference!!

Congratulations :) I was like that to, My first pregnancy a breeze, no sickeness no cravings, second pregnancy, nauseaus all day long on and off am-pm what helped me was soda crackers, lots of fruit, no meat it made me gag for the first 2-3 months... green tea limit the caffeine though... stay away from mint, I read somewhere on the net that mint can cause miscarriages not sure, but I did not want to take the chance. but for sure mint helps settle a stomach when nauseas or when u eat to much, but try ginger lemon tea instead...
Hope that helps... Just curious your first pregnancy a boy or girl??? I think its all myths anyways... They say no sickness usually a boy sickeness a girl but not true in my case I had 2 boys and both pregnancies totally different :)

My morning sickness ALWAYS lasts all day for all 9 months. Have your doctor prescribe "Zofran".. It's the magic pill that gets rid of sickness as soon as 10 minutes after taking a pill.. Love it, I can't be pregnant without it.

I was sick for the first four months constantly - so much that i was loosing weight while my stomach was getting bigger. My dr put me on medication to help settle my stomach. It worked when i actually took it. Keep crackers and water on your night stand - eat a couple when you first wake up about 10 minutes before getting out of bed. Preggie pops helped but i cold onyl tolerate cherry. You might try slow down movements. Eat small multiple meals to keep from getting too full - it might be acid reflux making you nausious.

Keep small amounts of food in your stomach at all times. I found if i never let myself get hungry then i didnt get sick. plus my doctor prescribed a med. for it, so talk to your doc.

oh hun i feel for you. i never had morning sickness that lasted all day, but i got it bad. it usually went away by noon, but i had it my ENTIRE pregnancy, even the morning i delivered my daughter. and now im pregnant again, and same thing. im 17 weeks and still puking. nothing helped mine, i found ginger ale to be the worst bc it burned so much coming back up. but maybe some things will work for you... good luck and congratulations!

I had that with my first pregnancy. I found that even though you don't want to eat when you're nauseous, if I let myself go too long without eating, then I would for sure get sick. So keep snacks at hand and eat something small every hour or two. Don't force yourself to eat anything that is really turning you off (I couldn't even say "chicken" let alone eat it for about 6 weeks!)
I found small, frequent sips of water would help when the nausea started to get out of control and I had to control it.
Those preggie pop drops, or other sour candies did help. So did chewing gum, sometimes.
If all else fails and you're having trouble keeping food down at all, ask your doctor for medication. It's important to be able to eat to nourish yourself and the baby.

I lived on Saltines and raw baby carrots for my morning sickness... also ginger ale and gatorade.

Ginger ale, ginger snaps, fresh ginger, mint tea, saltines All good for nibbling on when you're struggling with morning sickness. Hope it ends soon!!!

Keep small amounts of food in your stomach, ginger works for many, as to motion sickness bands you wear around your wrist.
Google ideas, there are many out there. Some work better then others and each person is different. What works one day, might not the next, so don't dismiss any idea, but keep it in your tool box.
Coming up with new ideas will keep you a bit distracted from feeling sick.
