I've given older kids ginger tablets (specifically my 4 year old for sea sickness) - they are 100% natural, but I would still check with my doctor for a child under 2......

i have been car sick from i was a child and i was always sick no matter how long the journey was i found that sitting in the front seat made a big help even now if i was to sit in the back i would feel sick. also having the window opened a bit like sharon says helps loads to. oh and having something to eat an hour before i left also helped me. :)

i used gravol. For 2yrs of age it is safe and convient and works. It makes the child sleepy (except mine) so your trip won't be so hard on him/her. And make sure babe is not being overheated. That will make them sick too!!

We didn't give our son anything. Just took extra clothes, towels, wet naps, and a bag to puke in. At two yrs he wasn't good at making it into the bag. We relied on his older brother to notice he wasn't feeling well and then we'd do what we needed to keep him clean.

don't let him read books in the car - maybe not movies either. Opening the windor for fresh COLD air helped too. Getting overly warm plays a part in my son getting car sick.

Ok. Since u usually shouldn't give a child too many medications I do this. Boil 2 inches of ginger root in 12-14 ounces of water for 10 minutes. Allow her to sip on it once its cooled through the ride (sweeten just a bit with honey). It helps a LOT with nausea. I still to this day have car sickness and it's always helped.

a bucket :) Honestly? Ask your pediatrician. There is medications for motion sickness but I'm not quite sure offhand if they are safe for kids under 12. Try to keep him/her occupied. During the car ride point out things out the window and ask what color they are or something along that line to try to keep their mind off of the fact they're moving. Also, it's educational :)

My grandmother always gave us peppermint oil to soothe our stomach. When the peppermint oil was not available, she gave us a peppermint candy, which helped.

Ginger snaps work awesome. Give her a couple before you leave and then more as needed for long trips.
