I'm not preg as of now but i hope to be preg with baby #3 soon. The boys name is already picked out. It will be Carson Douglas Simmons. Douglas after my husbands middle name and his fathers 1st name. But for a girl i believe i have decided on one. I wanted to see what others thought of the sound of it and which spelling.

I love the name Sienna, when I was pregnant, before I knew the gender, Sienna was on my list under the girl column. I have a boy now, and named him Keane. I love names that are not everyday names.

Considering my own 2 yo daughter's name is Sienna Mae, I think you know what my vote would be on the spelling :) BTW when I was researching the meaning before she was born, I discovered it has 2 meanings: Reddish brown; and "from Siena", a place in Tuscany. Our daughter was born with reddish brown hair, and I've always wanted to go to Tuscany, so it was an easy choice when we met her.

I love Sienna. I think it is pretty, unique, but not too far out there, and sounds warm. I like the spelling with the "S". The "C" is just going to end up getting her name misspelled all the time and looks a bit odd. Congrats on the new baby! :)

Sienna sounds like one of the pizza shops around my house I believe its Pizza Sienna... it makes me think of pizza. Sorry lol try seanna like shawn-na

I like Sienna Daylen.
Personally I like the name Sienna, but my partner doesnt. At the moment we have compromised on a name for our daughter due in 11 weeks. Nothing set in stone just yet... still got time to change it!!

The name makes me think of a crayon that color. Ciara is close and is a beatuiful name. It will be your child and you should choose a name you like, and hopefully your child will like.

I prefer Sienna with a S. C spelling not obvious, so if you want a name easy to spell I would go with S.
I don't like the look of the C spelling myself.

I think they are all unique and beautiful but I like Sienna Daelyn the most. My daughters' name is C'Yenna Amari so of course..I'm slightly biased!

I'm 19wks pregnant with a baby boy and when i was chosing a girls name my partner didn't agree on any of them until i mentioned i really liked Sienna-Jayde.

Finding things with names on it is super hard for a lot of people, I rarely find something with Natasha on it and my nephew Owen has problems as well.
I don't see any problem with having to spell your name when you're, say, on the phone with someone, you should automatically do it anyway as people can assume wrongly very easily.
There are many spellings of every name out there, none are wrong, just have fun with it and make sure YOU will be fine calling her name out loud at a playground or when she's in trouble.

I think this is a great name. My niece is named Siena, like the city in Italy. It is just unusual enough to be different from most of the other kids, but somehow familiar enough not to seem too "out there." Go for it!

Ultimately the decision is yours. However, as someone with an unusual name myself, I prefer the simplest spelling, Sienna. I constantly have people ask "How do you spell that?" or "How is that pronnounced?" I love my name and the meaning behind it,(It's after my grandfather) but it has caused many questions over the years.

Keep her name simple...Sienna....that is how it is spelled. Don't get too funky with the spelling. :) I grew up with a funky name and ALWAYS have to say and spell it. I love my name now, as an adult, but as a child growing up...I hated it! :) IMO

I agree with Helen Baker. It seems to be the latest "craze" to pick an unusual name or unusual spelling of a traditional name; and then the parents get annoyed when no one knows how to spell it!! As for the traditional names, if you don't like the way it's spelled, pick another name! I have three daughters with beautiful, traditional names, and you wouldn't believe how many weird spellings people come up with.....that's annoying!

Sienna is a pretty name, but it ALWAYS makes me think of an episode of Seinfeld where George is dating a girl named Sienna. Jerry says, "Yeah, George is dating a crayon." (think of the color raw sienna) I think if I met someone named Sienna, I would have a hard time not cracking up thinking of that line.

Its not widely used where I am from (Alabama) but its not uncommon either. It is heard of but not used a whole lot like some names are.

That's a beautiful middle name to go with Sienna. My daughter is called Siena (with one 'n' not two). I just preferred it with one 'n'. She may spend alot of time correcting people when she's older but I liked the point of difference. Her middle name is Jaz.

Just like Rose, and lilly are a flower and not a name, and Portia is a vehicle and not a name, along with stormy, rainy, star, skye, skylar, and many other words that are not meant to be names but are. Hate to tell you but Sienna is a name and if you dont believe me go back thru all the posts on here and look how many have named their kids that. And im not worried about her sharing her name with anyone. Its not a widly used name where i am from. And even if she does have the same name as other kids, oh well, that dont make her any less special to me. :-)

CIENNA, WITH THE C. MY NEICES NAME IS SIERRA SIMMONS. FOR AWHILE I ALWAYS HAD TO ASK HOW TO SPELL THE FIRST NAME FOR A LONG. TIME. SO I LIKE IT SPELLED WITH A C. IT'S A BEAUTIFUL NAME, AND SO IS YOURS BOYS NAME. AND SINCE YOU DON'T NO BOY OR GIRL, IF YOU NOTICED, THAT CIENNA WOULD HAVE THE SAME INITIALS AS CARSON. LOL.HOPE THIS HELPS A LITTLE.
