Are you guys kidding me, will they be picked on? That is stupid! You can make fun of any name!!!! My name is Tara and a boy in middle school informed me that my name spelled backwards is a rat. Katie, you name YOUR child what ever you want (w/in reason). Every child will get teased at some point for some reason or another, that is a fact of life (can anyone tell me no one has picked on them at least once? no). You raise your child to be intelligent, compassionate, and confident and it doesn't matter what their name is, others will like them. A name WON"T make you popular!

I like it. A coworker of mine has a grandson named Keegan and as far as I know he hasn't had any problems at school with other kids making fun of him. Congratulations and good luck:)

you have to think very carefully before naming a child, you have to consider all the bullying that can go on because of your decision. If you name a child something that has traditionally been a name for the other sex then you're leaving them wide open to abuse. It's all well and good trying to be original, but your child's feelings should be utmost in your mind.

I actually like it. My husband and I really like original and uncommon names. I think you should decide for yourself. When we were trying to think of a name for our daughter, we made the mistake of telling others the names we were thinking of. Never again. Sometimes it makes the decision harder b/c you want to conform to what others think and not go with what you really like. So my suggestion would be to go with what makes you happy. Good Luck!

That name is more common then you might think. My mom is an OB nurse and she had 3 Teagan's born in the last 2 months! Cute name though. I like Keagan too.

Hi! Teagan is cute, but it sounds a little too much like a girl's name to me. I like strong boy names. It will give him a head start in this crazy business world we live in! I have to say, my husband and I didn't care what anyone said we named our boys what we wanted!

I like it! My daughter's name is Kalifornia and we call her Kali. Everyone remembers her. I like the idea that years from now, people will be able to recall who she is immediately because her name is so different. The fact that everyone thinks she is a wonderful kid makes it even better.

I like it for both genders. Its like Ryan - can go either way. You'll have people asking the gender no matter what you name him. Our son is named Logan and sometimes people think that is a girl name.

I think it is a cute name but when I was thinking of baby names I couldn't get the idea of "If I name my child ______ will they be able to have any job they want when they grow up" Teagan is cute for a young child, but what happens when Teagan wants to be a doctor/lawyer/teacher, will he be taken seriously? I also agree with being picked on, but I don't think any name is safe when kids want to pick on other kids.

I like the name and searched the history of the name... many sites say it's a girl name, but others from Ireland, where the name orignated say it is truely a BOYS name. Here's what one site had to say...Teagan is derived from the gaelic name tadhg originally both were a form of timothy. Timothy means: One who honors God. The biblical Timothy was the young Christian to whom Paul wrote. 'Let no man look down on your youth.' It's a good name with a good meaning. Teagan also means poet :)

Teagan is a great name. Lots of children have unusual names which makes them unique. My daughter's name is Azlyn. Everyone seemed to have a problem with it when we thought of it, now everyone loves it cause it is so original.

I say go for it!!

Its not about what we all think ... What would the poor child think ! School aged kids can be very cruel these days and that needs to be taken into consideration. Sorry, but i like the old fashion names that arnt so popular today which i spose makes them unusual now. Good luck.
