I AM 23 WEEKS, 2 DAYS. AND MY WATER STARTED LEAKING FROM LAST 2 DAYS. I AM SCARED AS I HAVE ALSO PCOS ( POLY-CYSTIC OVARIAN SYNDROME). I HAVE ONLY SLIGHT PAIN IN MY ABDOMEN RATHER THAN THAT I HAVE NO OTHER COMPLAIN. I JUST WONDERED IF THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ANYONE, HOW LONG ONE CAN MANAGE TO CARRY BABY AFTERWARDS AND DOES IS RISKY FOR THE BABY AND MUM?? I LIVE HERE IN UK WITH MY HUSBAND ONLY AND NO OTHER FnF AROUND. ANY HELP OR REASSURANCE ON THIS WOULD BE GREAT AS YOU CAN IMAGINE I AM REALLY WORRIED AT THE MOMENT.

You haven't been checked, so you don't know for sure if it is fluid, right? I am 29 weeks pregnant and I have a lot of discharge, but it is not fluid. I would go get checked to find out what is going on.

Hopefully it is just excess mucous discharge, but if not and you continue to wait, you are jeopardizing your health and your babies.

Have you talked with the doctor yet? I would get your pregnant ass to the hospital NOW! When you are full term, and your water breaks, you must get to the hospital to deliver within 24 hours or serious infection can happen. And you say you have been "leaking" for 2 days? I really hope you and your baby are ok, but seriously you should be taking better care of yourself especially if you already KNOW you have a medical condition. Seriously, no joking, call your doctor NOW and get to the hospital NOW.

Go to your doctor, they will do a little swab of your cervix (painless) and if it turns blue, it's your water. If not, it's just extra cervical mucous and whatnot and it's okay. But you HAVE to get this checked IMMEDIATELY.

go to the doctor or hospital straight away. Although in this day and age prem babies have more chance of survival it still pretty risky this early. If you're ever worried always seek help it might not be anything to worry about but it's best to be sure.

It might not be your water but either way you need to go ASAP and get the fluid tested and then see what they say about it. Your water breaking at 23 weeks is serious.
