What is the range for a 6 month old's weight and height?

The last time that my boy went to the ped, he was 5 1/2 months old (he is now 6 months) and weighed 14.9 pounds and was 26 inches long. I wanted to know the "range" that they are supposed to be in. All of my friends kids that are around 6-7 months, their kids are all bigger. I am worried that he is too small. He was born into the 25th perc. for weight and height when he was born. Last checkup, his weight is still 25th perc, but his length has moved up to 50th perc. Any advice.....

I wouldn't worry about all this perc. stuff,new moms get so caught up in it,you'll drive yourself crazy.As long as he's happy and healthy and he's doing the things he suppose to be doing. Stop comparing him to other babies because they're all different. When he's 14, and taller than you are and eating you out of house and home, you'll be wondering where did that little guy go

He weighed 6 pounds 14 oz and was 20 1/2 inches when he was born. The ped wants him between the 25-50th perc, but he said that as long as he is not dropping weight, he is not worried.

do not panic about his weight as long as he is hitting all his milestones everything is fine. my son who is 17 months old is only 21lb which according to the charts is between the 2nd and 9th centile and he is small 9 to 12 month trousers are too long for him! but as neither my husband or myself are tall i am not worrying about it he is a happy healthy boy who is the light of my life and perfect just the way he is

how much did he weigh when he was born? i was always told that you take the baby's birth weight and double it, that's how much they should weigh at 6 months. then triple it and that's how much they should weigh at 1 year. of course this isn't completly accurate. it's just an idea. neither of my kids weighed as much as they "should" according to this by one year.

does your ped show you a growth chart for your baby? if not, ask. that's a better way to tell if he's growing at the right rate. i would say that if the dr wasn't concerned then you shouldn't be either.

I could not tell you.. My daughter is in the 99%. She is 9 1/2 months old and 29 1/2 inches tall.
