Bridge to terrabythia (sp?) was good until they killed the little girl. Sucky! I mean it's a kids movie!
Also tuck everlasting sucked cuz Winnie chose to stay mortal and age and die, ugh who would choose that in real life if faced with immortality and being with the love of your life for eternity? Stupid.

It was an Andy Warhol movie.....It was so long ago I can't even remember what it was called....I think it had to do with Jack the Ripper or Frankenstein. There were about 10 people in the theatre including us two and we laughed through the whole thing and were getting dirty looks from most of the other people. They must have been Andy Warhol fans....We obviously were not and thought the movie sounded interesting. We were very wrong.

The Road to Wellville. Two hours of people getting enemas. I felt like I'd had a two-hour enema by the time it was done. We kept watching, thinking it was going to get better. WTF were we thinking???

I know who killed me...well honestly anything with Lindsey Lohan is a horrible movie so I should have no better than to have watched that craptastic feature but I did and I want that time I spent watching that back!
ISide note: I love the Neverending Story..I was in Germany at the time that it was shot and actually knew the actor Noah Hathaway who played Atreyu because his little sister was one of my playmates and his body double for the movie John Conran was my childhood best friend's older brother.

There was really only ONE movie while my son was younger (he's all grown up and in the Army now) that I had to forbid him to watch...and I raised holy hell with the admin at the afterschool care he went to about it. That was "Stepchild" (I think that was the name...John Ritter adopts an older child who is a little monster. When I went to pick my son up from daycare when I got off work, they had all the kids watching this movie. My son is adopted and he reacted very negatively to this movie. He began acting like the kid in the movie and just really gave us fits. When I talked with him and found out his behavior was because he thought that's how he should act as an adopted child, I wanted to hurt someone at the daycare. He and I talked it out and he became the loving, normal child he had been before. The daycare apologized profusely and changed their policy for "movie" day. Only "G" rated after that and only things that could not be controvesal. They pulled Dennis the Menace and a few others as well. It took quite a while to undo the harm by one afternoon watching a bad movie.

Well, as for the worst one, I don't even remember the name of it, but it was a fantasy movie made in Sweden. It came out about the same time as "The Neverending Story" and was advertised as being like it. Now "The Neverending Story" is one of my all time favorites. I could recite the dialog at one time from seeing it so often. However, the Swedish movie was HORRIBLE! NOTHING happened in it! It was totally devoid of violence or anything negative. There would be "scary music" but nothing ever happened. My son was about 4 or 5 at the time and had seen "The Neverending Story" with me and loved it! It was exciting. Yeah, the G'Mork (wolf/dog) was a little scary but not more than he could handle. Durng the Swedish movie he kept asking when something was gonna happen. He was totally bored with it.

Without a doubt, Eye of the Beholder. Saw it in the theater, sat through the whole thing just waiting for it to get better...or at least make sense. The film ended and NOBODY in the theater moved. The person behind me said "Does ANYBODY know what happened??" and I turned around and said "Yes. We just wasted two hours of our lives."

I really did not see what the hype was about with Crash. I know it won tons of awards and it was supposed to bring forth all these important stereotypes and social issues, but my thoughts during the whole movie were that the people who really needed to watch this movie would either not watch it or would not understand the point of the movie. I just thought it was a waste of time because I can see these things in my everyday life and not have to see it dramatized in order to make money.

Santa With Muscles. ohmigod-i-can't-believe-hulk-hogan-is-hitting-villains-with-big-candy-canes-while-dressed-in-a-santa-suit-claiming-amnesia bad. I think it's been voted the worst movie ever made somewhere.
I also hated HATED the new Indiana Jones movie. I wish they'd made it 10 years earlier and not relied on stupid CGI to move the plot along!

Ya, I agree it was pretty awful. It's really cool that you got to watch parts of the film being made and talk with the crew, what an experience that must have been! Another movie that I absolutely did not enjoy was 'She's so Lovely' with John Travolta and Robin Wright Penn...it was horrible.

You're right Jaime. That's exactly what it was about. Except that I had no idea what it was about when I saw it. I remember hanging out in NYC and watching segments of the movie being filmed, and talking with some of the crew. So I really wanted to see what the movie was all about and hated it!

I think kids was about the reality of AIDS back in the 80's when it wasn't as widely known as far as the risk of infection and the astonishing rate at which it had spread through out North America. I agree that it was a bit odd, but eye-opening.

As for 'Tropic Thunder', although the movie was completely ridiculous (but good for a laugh or two), I do have to give props to Robert Downey Jr. for his character---for those who have not seen it he played a black man and even tailored his voice to the character (the make-up job wasn't bad either).

I was disappointed in the second 'Pirates of the Caribbean' and tried to watch the third, but became frustrated with how desperately they were trying to top the first movie. 'Alexander' was another movie I didn't enjoy. I am big on action and comedy. Just recently I saw 'The Hangover' and 'The Proposal' and thought they were both absolutely hilarious. I will likely watch the next Harry Potter movie, but I'm not a fanatic, so I can wait for it to go to dvd. As for twilight, I have read a lot of the hype surrounding the series, but it doesn't strike me as a storyline that breaks the mold. When it comes right down to it, I'm a BIG Quentin Tarantino fan and I have watched many of his movies without regret!

I usually LOVE 007 but the last 2 with that useless tit of a blond dude for james bond is a waste of space on any movie shelf!!! open water i only watched like 20 mins of never mind the 2nd! Love actually...ough! and i hated the labyrinth!! and whoever said tom cruise is an idiot ...I wholeheartedly agree!!! besides all that...I adore Twilight!!! I own the book series in hardcover as well as in audio and the movie I've seen like 4 times already lol..to each their own I guess :-)

I usually know which movies to avoid so I don't have to sit through too many stinkers. AI:Artificial Intelligence was maddeningly bad as was the Johnny Depp Willy Wonka movie. When it comes to bad movies, it's sad because Jennifer Garner is one of my favorite actresses but she's done a couple of very bad ones. The Kingdom was horrible and so was Daredevil. I can usually tell by who it in a movie whether it will be a dog and usually when I've gone against that I've been sorry. Anything Meg Ryan has done other than a romantic comedy, anything with Tom Cruise in it (with the notable exception of Minority Report which was brilliant), anything with Will Ferrell in it is a bad bet (notable exception: Stranger than Fiction) and anything Pauly Shore or Adam Sandler in it is going to stink (in my opinion). I'm kind of a snooty movie-goer though. A movie that I thought was hideous while I was watching it but which stuck with me later as being frighteningly profound is "Idiocracy". It was not my kind of movie at all and I only watched it because a friend had been nagging me and I wanted to put her nagging to rest. I gritted my teeth through it and could barely tolerate its vulgarity, but after watching the whole thing I was very affected and find myself quoting it.

Oh, I can't BELIEVE there is a sequel to Open Water! It was the most unbelievably WORST movie ever. There have been some movies I didn't like, but this one tops them all!!! After watching them drift on the water for a very long time, my husband and I decided to fast forward to get to the action. Guess what? There was NO action! We just ended up fast forwarding to the end where they finally drown. It's so hard to believe anyone thought this was a good movie to make!
